There is something very nourishing about sitting under a tree at any time of year, but during the darker, colder months it is somehow even more grounding as the woodland is in stillness with you. It only takes a plastic bag in your rucksack to keep you dry from the damp forest ground, and the reason why it feels so resting is because this is your connection to everything. When you are immersed in nature, your mind, body, soul and spirit naturally align within your stillness and the experiences you will have in that moment will be profound and inspiring as you feel grounded, safe and self-aware.
