Hello June!

The month of long days and good weather (hopefully!)

The last of the New Forest foals are arriving, and the stallions remain present. Wildflowers and wildlife are plentiful. Young birds are fledging the nests, and nightjars are churring on a warm June evening. The lush woodland provides consistent shade for ponies, and froglets are moving from ponds to moist ground.

June is a time to celebrate Father's Day and the beginning of astrological summer on the 21st. The full moon, called the strawberry moon, appears on the 11th, coinciding with the enjoyment of sweet, ripe strawberries this month.

In the long, warm days filled with abundance, take pleasure in a walk that presents a variety of habitats and wildlife. You can download the walking route from Bank below. This walk provides a great opportunity to observe deer grazing safely in a pasture. Enjoy the atmospheric standing dead woodland, which makes it simple to spot birds and animals foraging and basking among the bare branches and sunlit ground.

This month, I'll also provide you with a foraged recipe, articles on stag beetles and the summer solstice, we'll revisit the 'ragwort debate,' and I'll share a meditation and an audio on manifestation.

Keep in mind that as a full member, you receive a 20% discount on all events, including "Once around the sun in the New Forest," where we explore the wildlife, nature, commoning life, folklore, and energetics of June. I'm also offering a short walk along the River Avon and ancient land from the Moot in Downton, as well as the monthly energy flow conversation.
