After a lovely coastal walk yesterday, back to the forest today in the winter sun. The ponies were enjoying the warmth on their backs drying out their thick coats from last nights rain.
As I made good use of my wellies wading through some muddy patches the wind whipped through the boughs making the trees creek and groan.
The sun on the open heath was warm and inviting. Enough for a red admiral butterfly to come out of hibernation just to check if it is spring yet?
