What are you focusing on for this year?

I feel an anticipation in the air heading into June, and it made me smile how organically I have ended up with so many animal-based workshops this month. Something kept drawing my attention to both the animals and the energetics of June, and now it all makes sense.
June is a month of polarity. It's inviting us to become more aware of who we truly are. Not just the story we tell ourselves, but how we show up in the world. June is asking for authenticity—not perfection, but an honest awareness of what may need to shift in order to move forward on your true path.
June is not only about going within and doing the inner work, but also about being mindful of who you spend your time with. As you deepen your self-awareness and authenticity, you may notice where others are caught in familiar patterns, stories, or ways of seeing themselves. Meet them with compassion, but remember that you don't need to carry what isn't yours. Strong boundaries will be important. Sometimes supporting someone may involve an honest and difficult conversation, but equally important is choosing where you place your energy and attention.

The intention you invest your energy into this month helps shape the second half of the year. So ask yourself: do you want to feel lighter, freer, and ready to move beyond the stuck or heavy energy you've been carrying? Or do you want to keep reinforcing the patterns that hold you where you are? Even if those patterns don't feel significant right now, the energy you surround yourself with can influence the direction you continue to travel.

You may be wondering where the animals fit into all of this. Animals hold a mirror to us emotionally, physically, and energetically. They respond honestly to what is present in the moment, without the layers of stories and expectations that we so often carry. So if you want a genuine reflection of where you are, spend some time with the animals. They also know how to have fun and live in the moment. Take that as a lesson, and take breaks from the deep inner work to have fun, and fill yourself with the joy of the moment.
