Julys Newsletter

During July, we took some hot walks. We enjoyed watching the dragonflies bounce across the ponds and digger wasps digging holes in the sand at Ober Heath. (It was too hot for any other wildlife!) And we met some magnificent trees, including the Eagle Oak on the ancient tree walk. You still have time to join us on Thursday evening for a walk at Yew Tree Heath to enjoy the evening wildlife as the sun goes down amongst the flowering heather.

During August, we will be walking at Godshill - another lovely, short evening walk. This takes us through farmland and village lanes to enjoy the fruitfulness of wild hedges. We will also be visiting Old Sloden Wood later in the month where we will visit the Elephant Oak and take in the views of Hasley Heath and its flowering heather.

At the beginning of July, I hosted an animal healing workshop, and witnessing the deep connections between animals and people was very heart-warming. I would like to thank Brenda for her generosity in allowing us to come and spend time with her animals.

If you felt you missed out on spending time with the animals, I will be hosting another opportunity with Jackie to come along and enjoy some time in nature on a short walk across an ancient Bronze Age settlement, with time to stop, sit, and admire - before settling into a guided meditation amongst the ancient trees. We will then return to the farm and spend time getting up close with Jackie's New Forest ponies and donkeys. As a commoner, Jackie can answer any of your questions about active commoning, and I can help you lean into those deeper energetic connections with animals. We had such fun the last time we hosted this, and it was so well received, we have extended it into a whole day.

If nature is more your thing, come and join me for a morning of being Nurtured by Nature. We will take a short walk where we will talk about the flora and fauna of the New Forest, with time to sit, lie, or wander in your own space, to deeply reconnect, rest, and digest as nature. As we wander back with all senses switched on, I will identify the sights and sounds which had gone unnoticed to you previously, and we will finish with a foraged drink and meditation.

This months Illuminating the Human Potential is focusing om the difference between body, soul and spirit. We'll explore how these three aspects of ourselves work together and how creating balance between them can lead to a more meaningful and fulfilled life.

This isn't about having all the answers. It's about creating space to ask deeper questions.

To reconnect with yourself. To understand why certain experiences shape you so profoundly.

And to discover practices that help you move through life with greater clarity, purpose and presence.

Whether you're curious about personal growth, spirituality, mindfulness or simply looking for a moment to slow down, this workshop offers a welcoming space to explore what it means to be fully human.

This workshop is held in Andover and the New Forest, so take a look here to choose your venue.

During August, get out onto the heathlands and enjoy the flowering heather. The ground-nesting birds are dispersing, and the sound of calling birds is replaced with the song of the grasshoppers and crickets. Golden-ringed dragonflies might also be spotted flying over the bogs and mires, and enjoy the acrobatic flight of the swifts and swallows skimming the foliage before they leave for another year.

Roe deer are in their rutting season, so you may see them chasing around trees and shrubs, creating "roe rings" in the earth as part of the mating chase, before heading home to try to scrub the purple from your fingers after picking juicy blackberries.

I am also hosting a evening under the sturgeon full moon with Linda at Slowhayes Alpacas in the New Forest. After holding a previous full moon evening their, it was so well recieved, we are doing it again - which has had a similar response, and sold out, but if you want to get in early for the next event we are hosting, we are welcoming Samhain/halloween on the 30th October. In the meantime, if you want to get to know the alpacas, enjoy an event with Linda at Slowhayes.

Thank you, as always, for your support—whether it's by reading my posts, participating in my walks and events, or seeking wellness support and personal development. A brand new website is currently being developed to hopefully make it easier for you to find what you're looking for, along with a new offering for visitors to the New Forest with the launch.

With love, Jen x
