December was a lovely month for walking as we avoided the strong winds and rain, basking in the winter sunshine. We strolled through the ancient forest of Denny Wood and observed kingfishers at Barton on Sea. Yesterday, we discussed the folklore and history of witches, fairies, and smugglers at Markway, and today, I enjoyed a social walk with friends at Pig Bush. For me, this time of year, with its cold, sunny days for walking among the trees, feels much more special and heartfelt than a warm summer day, especially when you're with your tribe.
In January, I'm starting the year with another good friend, Sammie Longhorn - The Hedgerow Yogi. Together, we're hosting a guided walk to share our work with Mother Nature and express our profound love, connection, and understanding of the land, its folklore, history, and medicinal properties within an ancient landscape. I will also be offering a walk at Boldre on the 25th where we may encounter the legend of the Stratford Lyon while walking amongst farmland, woodlands and country lanes. If we don't come across the mystical beast, we can get a red lion fix, by joining us for lunch at the pub after.

On the 10th, I will host a members-only walk at Millyford Bridge. If you're interested in joining the membership, it's just £5 per month. This membership includes a free New Forest guided walk each month, 20% off all my events, and access to exclusive content. Alternatively, if you're only interested in the exclusive content, you can subscribe to the Facebook subscription for just 99p per month. Your support enables me to offer free spaces at my events, provide complimentary therapies to those unable to afford their wellness journey at this time, and maintain reasonable prices for everyone. My goal is always to support as many people as possible in a kind, steady, and authentic manner. Speaking of which, New Forest Nature and Nurture is evolving as we move into 2026, as I'm once again called to adapt to demand. My business has always grown and changed naturally as you've requested support in various ways, and if it's within my capacity, I offer it. 2026 is about expanding MY boundaries as I transition towards more workshops and increase my public offerings. I've been contentedly helping individuals while exploring nature with them, offering reflections on their experiences within the fluid boundaries between themselves and nature. However, now these individuals are encouraging me to share my knowledge with a larger audience. Therefore, in 2026, I will offer a series of workshops, each month building on the last, providing an opportunity for a broader audience to explore their human potential. You can book for the entire year or select specific workshops to attend. I recommend joining for the full year to gain a deeper experience and a better understanding of your potential. I will conduct in-person workshops in Chichester, The New Forest, and Andover. If you wish to take advantage of the discount and join for the year but can't attend all the dates, don't worry—I will also offer an online version. In January, I am also hosting the energy healer workshop. Whether you are a healing practitioner, have just completed your first degree in Reiki, or are returning to your healing practice and want to rebuild your confidence, this workshop is for you. Regardless of your level or modality, there is something here for everyone. I will be sharing insights from my 25 years of experience as an intuitive healer and offering tips to enhance your practice beyond what is typically taught. Additionally, I will conduct an afternoon session focused on meditation and energetic connections. Why not spend the day nurturing yourself and finding inspiration (at a discounted rate) to kick off the year? This event aligns with the new moon, an ideal time to set intentions during meditation and embrace new practices and perspectives through the workshop.
I have rescheduled the monthly energy flow conversation to a Tuesday evening instead of a Saturday daytime, as requested by some of you. I hope this allows those who couldn't attend before to join us.
During January, try to get out into nature for a mindful and heartfelt walk. We are in a time of wintering, and our bodies don't want to be rushing around. It is a wonderful time to take a really good look at the trees as they stand bare. They tell so many stories in their boughs as they twist and gnarl. You can see the conscious decisions that have been made with the dropped boughs and change of direction to reach the light. In this state, the trees offer a better view through the woods to see the birds moving, feeding, and calling amongst them, and in January, the Greater Spotted Woodpecker starts to territorially drum the trees like a tribal drumming amongst the cold, dark days. Embrace the joys of winter and slow down to see the stillness and dormancy in the natural world.

I wish you all a very happy New Year and hope it brings you joy, health and new adventures. 2026, is going to really drive us to step up into our true, authentic self. So set some beautiful new year resolutions and let go of the old on the Full moon on the 3rd.
Thank you for all your ongoing support through live events, subscriptions and social media, and I would like to take the opportunity to welcome those who have found me on my recent venture into the world of TikTok, where New Forest Nature and Nurture quickly went viral!
All my love, Jen x
