Augusts Newsletter

During August, we only managed one walk but it was beautiful none the less! With the forest in serious trouble with forest fires, I felt it was unfair to offer any forest walks for the rest of August. We enjoyed the wild hedges and beautiful views at Godshill

During September, we will enjoy the last evening pub walk of the year and watch the sun go down and enjoy the views and wildlife of the New Forest coastline at Keyhaven.

We will also enjoy a range of ancient habitats with nature, wild woodlands, enclosure tracks, and heath at Pigbush, and hope to catch sight or sound of the red deer as they begin their rutting season at Queen's Bower towards the end of the month.

During August, we had a beautiful day amongst horses, donkeys, and nature on the animal and nature connection day. A big thank you to Jackie Hall for her generosity in inviting us to her farm to spend time with her beautiful animals. Any event with animals is really popular, and that has been proven with a fully booked Sturgeon moon and lunar eclipse evening tonight at Slowhayes Alpacas. Feel like you missed out? Linda and I will be offering another event to celebrate Samhain/Halloween.

But don't wait too long to book; tickets are selling quickly for this too.

September marks the season when nature offers us a rich harvest of berries, nuts, and fruits, not only for our enjoyment but also for birds, small mammals, and insects to savour. It's a wonderful time to quietly observe nature as mice, voles, shrews, stoats, and weasels venture beyond their usual safety zones for an irresistible blackberry or acorn. September is when the migrating birds start to leave and also a time the birds start to moult, making it a great time to collect feathers from your local walks to identify which birds are making it their home.

In the New Forest, September also signals the start of pannage, when pigs are released into the forest to consume acorns, chestnuts and beech nuts, which are harmful to ponies and cattle. The pigs will roam from September 14th for the traditional 60 nights, although some commoners may choose not to turn out their pigs this year due to the lack of acorns. Remember to admire the pigs from a distance; while they are accustomed to human interaction most of the year, you don't want to come between a sow and her piglets!

On an average year, we would normally have already seen the start of drift season, but due to the equine flu still making its way through the forest, sadly, there will be no drifts. No breed show, and no Beaulieu Road sale.

During a single week in August, we experienced the energy of the lionsgate portal, a new moon with a solar eclipse and planetary alignment. Leo is fire energy, and it sure did bring it! not just as forest fires, but it appeared to fuel fires of anxiety amongst the community.

As an intuitive healer and nature therapist, I have witnessed heightened anxiety, difficult truths rising to the surface and many people feeling as though life has been thrown into chaos.

Fire doesn't simply burn. It illuminates. It reveals what can no longer remain hidden.

As we move towards the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Pisces (a water sign), the energy begins to shift, from fire towards water. From heat towards cooling. From action towards reflection, and perhaps there is something symbolic in that.

Water cools fire. It flows around obstacles. It cleanses. It restores, and perhaps we are being invited to move from fighting against everything that has happened towards allowing ourselves to see the bigger picture.

Sometimes chaos has to clear something before we can see what comes next.

The Sturgeon represents resilience. It adapts. It survives. It continues, and maybe we can pause and recognise that same resilience in ourselves - and in the forest around us.

The landscape has been tested, and yet it remains. It adapts. It regenerates. It continues, and maybe we can do the same.

For nature and nurture subscribers and Facebook subscribers, you will find a recorded meditation which will help you move into flow with the sturgeon moon.

In September, there are two opportunities for those seeking to strengthen their spiritual connections with universal energies and learn how to connect with their guides. This month's focus on illuminating human potential involves understanding how to connect with your guides. I will help remove any barriers by sharing insights not typically covered in other spirit guide workshops. We will explore various types of guides and practice identifying which guide is present with you at any given time.

I am also conducting a workshop centred on distance healing. This session will explore the influence of intention, prayer, telepathy, and remote healing, and will address people's uncertainties regarding the effectiveness of distant healing.

Are you going to miss out on acknowledging this full moon? Come and join me by the sea in September to set intentions and and be guided through meditation as the sun sets and the moon rises over the water.

As always, thank you for all your support. I am currently having a brand new website built, and it should be live in the next few weeks. With all these things, there can sometimes be teething problems, so if you have tried to contact me and haven't had a response within 24 hours, feel free to call, text, or WhatsApp to 07519177211.
