This easy 4.25 circular mile walk is only passable during drier months, making it a lovely summer walk. There is some historical evidence on this walk, passing the Rufus Stone and walking the old wartime aerodrome, which has now been taken back by nature. You will find information for both along the way. There is also a very good chance of seeing ponies and deer.
There is no public transport to the start of the walk but a free car park, and there is opportunity for refreshments, with the ice-cream van halfway, and the Sir Walter Tyrell pub very close to the car park.
