This is an easy 5 mile route on gravel tracks and woodland paths, with plenty of places to stop and take in your surroundings. This is a really good walk for spotting dee, particularly red deer and fallows. This walk can be impassable during winter when very wet.

There is no public transport to the start of this walk, but it can be extended by starting in nearby Lyndhurst, where buses stop regularly. The Oak Inn at Bank is nearby for refreshments.
