Octobers Newsletter

October is my favourite month living in the New Forest, with the echoes of rutting deer, pigs at pannage and after the recent rain, we are now seeing an array of fungi and changing colours. During October, we walked at Roydon wood with the oak- dominant footpaths and natural heaths. Due to the wild weather the past few days, I had to cancel the autumnal walk and the ever popular moonlit walk.

During November, I will be offering walks at Bashley and at Lyndhurst. From conifer in closures to hazel coppice and heathlands.

November is about the falling leaves, the winter visiting birds and spotting ponies with strangely cut tails after the annual round-up.

If you love trees, you may want to join me on the story of trees guided walk.

This walk is only a couple of miles long exploring the stories held within the trees and the landscapes around them. Just as every scar we carry tells a story, so do the trees.

During November, the last of the drifts will take place for another year and the last of the leaves start to fall from the trees. The woodlands are still being tidied by pannage pigs and fungi embellishes the land. November is a good month to watch out for starling murmuration's and a time when the winter visitors arrive, such as bramblings, redwings, fieldfares, merlins and marsh harriers. The deer start to fall quiet after the rutting season, but the tawny owls become noisy as the young owls are finding their territories.

October has been challenging for me personally, and I doubt I'm the only one feeling this way. As the woods transform into golden hues, change is inevitable. In nature, we marvel at this beauty. The forest doesn't cling to what must fall away, instead turning every moment of release into a celebration of colour, light, and beauty. I am holding onto these glimpses of joy and light, welcoming the darker days as companions. This heart-led understanding gives me emotional resilience to continue supporting others too, reminding me that I am not merely sharing learned insights in nature therapy and personal development classes, but I am living the work I teach, offering compassion through experience. This realisation is a beacon of light in the encroaching darkness.

In November, I am hosting the Break the Cycle workshop.

Do you find yourself overthinking, trying to please everyone, or so busy that you believe there's no time for yourself?

I believe this describes many of us, which is why this workshop isn't just another session about anxiety or trauma. It's focused on breaking the cycle of overwhelm. In today's world, the demands of work, family, and managing a household can be daunting. There may not be a specific traumatic event or story attached to your overwhelm —it's simply a feeling. If this sounds familiar, this workshop is designed for you. Why wait for overwhelm to escalate into trauma, anxiety, or a physical illness before taking action? Join me for this one-day workshop and address the overwhelm while the knots are still easy to untangle!

This months illuminating the human potential workshop is about 'shining your light'. How to hold space and support others, compassionately and energetically without absorbing their pain. We are coming to a close on the years long course and looking ahead to next year, you can come on this fulfilling journey of personal development with me on the third Saturday of every month 9.30am - 11.30am to re-align with your truth, well-being and intuition for a happier, healthier and more inspired life. Each month we focus on a subject to build on your physical, spiritual and emotional connections on the 'journey back to your authentic self, through self-awareness, intuition and limitless healing.'

You can invest in the whole year for a discounted price, or pick and choose the workshops you would like to come along to.

For the maximum benefit of investing in yourself for a healthier, happier life with the trust and confidence to embrace your truth, enrol for the entire year. I have meticulously designed the year's workshops to ensure you can develop and enhance your growth smoothly and naturally.

Finally, there are two spaces left for Samhain at Slowhayes.

If you haven't met Linda and her animals at Slowhayes Alpacas in the New Forest, you are missing out! She also has a beautifully secluded shepherds hut for a quiet stay amongst the animals and nature.

Linda and I really enjoy holding events together, and if you miss out on Friday, we have plenty of other events in the diary - including yule, honouring the orchard, bird song and breakfast, and meditation in the meadow - just to name a few! You will find them all linked to my website and Linda's.

Thank you all for your constant support, through social media, live events, therapies and memberships. Its always appreciated and allows me to offer some free events, therapies and walks to those in need.

Kind regards, Jen x
