Moody skies.

Early morning walk from Bolderwood to Emery Down. The air was heavy and humid with Moody skies which simply enhanced the tones and textures of the forest greenery. The heath is pinched with pinks and purples from orchids, wild thyme and the first show of heather this year.

Cattle laid up amongst the bracken with just the tufts on their heads showing from my path and a couple of early rising silver studded blue butterflies skipped across the heath. 2 foals played without a care far in the distance while their mothers contentedly grazed.

Walking back through the woods the trees were full of birdsong which accompanied me the rest of the way home.

Back home for a chicken breakfast for Banjo as it is her Birthday, in the video you will see she is pleased with her new ball! 🐾🥎🦴
